The clipboards are a wonderful tool for independence, allowing children to take their writing and drawing to different parts of the room. They love having the freedom to work wherever they feel most focused.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the rug and clipboards, their excitement was contagious! They eagerly found their spots on the rug and immediately started exploring how the clipboards worked. One student proudly said, \"Now I can write anywhere!\" These moments showed me how much your gift directly supports their joy and growth as learners.\r\n\r\nWith these resources, we are now diving into literacy and math activities in new, flexible ways. The books arrived the last week of school. As the boxes came in, we would open the box up and the students would ask if we could read them. They love to read the books with partners around the room and even be the teacher, and read to the class. This was the perfect timing because we also had a themed camping day. The students were able to read in their \"tents\" with flashlights! The students would ask for extra reading time because they didn't have enough time to read ALL the books!! \r\n\r\nThe students have grown so much and have become super readers. They were so excited to read all the books! I know that my future classes will be just as excited to read their books. The students love working and playing around the classroom and I always felt terrible seeing them on the tile floor. \r\nWhen I made this donation request, I had ideas on spaces that I could put these rugs to make working and playing more enjoyable. When we received the rugs, the students were beyond excited! We opened up the rugs and placed them around our classroom. The rugs have moved around the room to meet our needs. With these rugs, I give the students more opportunities to work around the room which can be more comfortable then sitting at their tables. At the end of the day, the students are giving 30 minutes of free play.
