During a recent literacy rotation, students will use headphones to listen to bilingual stories while following along in print. Several students will smile with pride as they recognize vocabulary in both languages.\r\n\r\nMy students are excited and eager to use them. They are already asking when are the supplies coming, and thrilled to have new Expo markers and glue sticks ready for projects. These supplies will help them feel supported and valued, knowing they have the tools they need to fully participate in classroom activities.\r\n\r\nThe Expo markers and glue sticks are especially helpful during hands-on lessons. Students use Expo markers to solve problems on whiteboards, practice writing, and share their thinking during discussions. Glue sticks are used for interactive notebooks, graphic organizers, and dual language activities where students cut, sort, and match vocabulary or concepts. These activities help make learning engaging and accessible for all learners.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include continuing a dual language unit where students will collaborate on interactive projects, use whiteboards to practice new skills, and engage in listening activities that strengthen both language development and academic understanding.
