My middle school students enjoyed their time studying the park. However, they loved being able to share all they learned with local 2nd grade students even more! My students manned learning stations centered around geysers, Yellowstone animals, Yellowstone birds, and many other Yellowstone topics. My middle school students loved being in the teacher role, at each learning station my students taught 2nd graders about their topic and also helped them create a craft related to the topic. \r\n\r\nIt was amazing to see the 2nd graders eyes light up when they saw the \"coke geyser\" explode. Hearing the laughs of the students as they ran with their bird kite was amazing. Through your donation students have been exposed to South Korea through many different lenses. Students have learned about Korean culture, education system, history, traditional food, clothing, and many other topics. \r\nStudents have been exposed to all these topics through many different learning styles. Students incorporated the arts, they drew and painted several beautiful posters to hang up at the local elementary school, these will be used to teach elementary students about South Korea. Students also created life size Korean hanboks (traditional clothing) for elementary students to use as a photo booth. Other students have immersed themselves into Korean music to teach elementary students about K-POP. Students have incorporated engineering into their learning, they have built a traditional Korea structure to showcase at the local elementary school. \r\n\r\nThe hands on learning aspect of this project would not have been possible without the generous donation you made. The look on my students faces as they have fun while learning about other cultures around the world is one of the main reasons I became a teacher. Thank you for making it possible. My students could not believe the materials that began showing up to help them complete the project. The support you offered was also a great lesson on kindness for my students. They were able to experience the kindness of a complete stranger, something I hope they remember to pass forward as they grow up. \r\n\r\nMy middle schoolers have worked hard learning about South Korea and getting materials ready to showcase at the local elementary school. The next step in this process will be to create a fun fill South Korea experience for the local elementary school students.
