Thanks to your generous donations, my classroom is now stocked with a simple but powerful tool against hunger: a stash of healthy, individually-wrapped breakfast bars. As many as a quarter of the students in my class and in the school, for a variety of reasons, sometimes miss breakfast at home or on the way to school. Before this project, I'd often see their attention drift around mid-morning—a common sign of a rumbling tummy. Now, when a student quietly lets me know they're hungry, I simply offer them a bar. One particularly memorable moment was during a recent math lesson on fractions. The relief on their faces is immediate when I offer a bar, and their quiet \"thank you\" speaks volumes about how much this small gesture means.\r\n\r\nThe initial reaction when the box of bars arrived was wonderful! This simple snack has helped create a more focused, equitable learning environment. Knowing that no student will have their concentration derailed by hunger means they can fully commit to learning.
