The students have really gravitated to the spots and have grown in understanding emotions and feelings that they experience daily. I have students that have grown in their confidence of communicating with adults and have shown time and time again that they can explain what they are feeling in the moment. This is incredible growth especially when it comes to students with autism who struggle more with understanding how they are feeling and communicating it appropriately. In addition with students expressing how they are feeling we are finding that our students overall have become more verbal with staff and peers since introducing the feeling spots.\r\n\r\nWe begin every class period now with doing a feeling check in to gage where are students are at and that allows us to better service them. The spots have helped my staff and I develop a classroom where students feel loved, valued, and seen.","fullyFundedDate":1733246903218,"projectUrl":"project/spots-emotions/8944692/","projectTitle":"Spots Emotions","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crawford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9567633_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x1008,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731602491324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9567633"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10594","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":300,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":37,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"20.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.7,"schoolId":10594,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wildcat Way School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wildcat Way School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/spring-branch-independent-school-district/wildcat-way-school/10594"}
