The wide range of paints we now have available is a boon for the growth of my painting students as they move into more and more advanced projects on the year.\r\n\r\nWhen the painting supplies first arrived my students were very excited at the number of tubes of paint we were adding to the classroom. They kept asking about certain colors and wondering how we would be incorporating them into what we were doing.\r\n\r\nSo as we move forward, my students will be increasing the complexity of their painting projects by expanding the choices of colors on their palettes, and that is all thanks to you. We will start creating projects with more complex color harmonies, and play with different tints and shades and deepen our connection to color in the studio classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1762549739562,"projectUrl":"project/professionals-with-a-paintbrush/9864454/","projectTitle":"Professionals With a Paintbrush","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9750585_orig.jpg?crop=856,856,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726434541833","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9750585"},{"teacherId":9750585,"projectId":9749434,"letterContent":"Once again, thank your for the support you've shown my students and classroom by helping us gain the resources we need to delve further into art making. As we start this third quarter my students are beginning to learn how figure drawing works, and the tools we've gained have been instrumental in them learning more effectively.\r\n\r\nBy having a skeleton in the classroom we can combine science and art - anatomy - as a way to grow their skills of observation, their ability to understand what they are seeing when drawing the figure, and helping them put complex objects together on the page. The students were excited when they saw the skeleton and other tools we received and were excited to give them a try.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward the skeleton will play a central role in our drawing curriculum. The students are currently debating what name to give the skeleton, which means they are taking ownership of having it as a part of our art studio. We will continue to refer to the skeleton, use the drawing boards, and other materials as we delve deeper into figure drawing.","fullyFundedDate":1758819805976,"projectUrl":"project/anatomy-of-an-art-studio-classroom/9749434/","projectTitle":"Anatomy of an Art Studio Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9750585_orig.jpg?crop=856,856,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726434541833","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9750585"},{"teacherId":9750585,"projectId":9615982,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity my students are working vertically when drawing - the proper way to work. As students start a new drawing project they set up one of the new tabletop easels and create a workstation at their table, enabling them to draw vertically, minimizing distortion and helping their drawing to turn out more in proportion and correct.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited when the boxes arrived, unpacking the materials and asking what the easels were and how to use them. They were a little hesitant the first time they used them - with it being very different from their usual experience - but quickly adjusted to the new way of working and started to really enjoy it and see the benefits.\r\n\r\nIt may seem like a small thing, using tabletop easels rather than just drawing flat on the table, but it really does make a difference. Several students immediately wanted to go to the easels and start trying to figure them out.\r\n\r\nThese easels will provide a better educational experience for our drawing and painting students and give them an experience closer to what they should be experiencing in an art studio classroom.
