Your donation has helped me to create a safe, calm space for students. Students now have a space that allows them resources they need to calm their minds and bodies. So far this year, students have enjoyed relaxing on the bean bag chair while drawing, they utilize the visuals to choose strategies that will help them re-regulate their bodies, and they even enjoy choosing calming sounds to play in the room.\r\n\r\nReturning students have been so excited to see the new space. They love that it's in it's own room and in a larger space. They've enjoyed touring the space and knowing it's available when they need it.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful for your recognition of the importance of this space for students and the learning that can happen here.","fullyFundedDate":1777939376267,"projectUrl":"project/sit-down-relax-and-practice-those-drag/10231710/","projectTitle":"Sit down, Relax, and Practice those Dragon Breaths!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sinders","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10486747_orig.jpg?crop=230,230,x0,y29&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777380119465","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-sinders"},{"teacherId":8335382,"projectId":9921839,"letterContent":"Thank you for the generous donation to my project, \"Building Champions.\" The materials I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers, created by talented educators, have made my lessons more engaging and impactful. The puzzles and math manipulatives you provided have already made a lasting impact on my students and their learning.\r\n\r\nEach morning, my students use the puzzles as a way to connect with each other. They challenge themselves and their classmates to finish before the timer goes off, which has created a fun and meaningful way to start the day together. During math stations, the hands-on manipulatives have completely transformed our learning. The magnetic base-ten blocks are a class favorite—students love taking turns as \"the teacher,\" moving the pieces around to build different numbers. These tools have made our place value unit come alive and kept students actively engaged.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was overwhelming! My students shrieked with joy at the sight of new puzzles and math manipulatives. Their enthusiasm has not faded—they continue to use these resources daily and look forward to the opportunities they bring.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're beginning to use the magnetic tiles in creative new ways. For example, we write digits on the tiles and have students match them to the corresponding place value blocks. The hundreds charts are being used during small groups and will soon play an important role in our upcoming unit as we explore the concepts of \"10 more, 10 less, 1 more, 1 less.\"\r\n\r\nYour gift has truly changed the way my students experience learning.
