Because of your support, my Digital Art and Creative Writing students now have access to tools that have made an immediate and meaningful difference in their daily learning. These resources may seem small, but in a technology-centered classroom, they are absolutely essential for helping students stay focused, engaged, and able to work creatively without distraction.\r\n\r\nWith their new headphones, students can listen to audiobooks, tutorials, and digital art lessons without background noise or interruptions. This has especially benefited students who struggle with attention or sensory overload; many have told me they feel like they can finally \"get into the zone\" while working. The wired mice have been equally transformative. Students are now able to draw, edit, design, and navigate artistic software with far more precision than a laptop trackpad allows. Their digital artwork has noticeably improved in quality, and many students feel more confident exploring new techniques because their tools now support their ideas.\r\n\r\nYour donation did more than provide equipment—it provided access, equity, and the ability for every student to create at their highest potential. Thank you for believing in my students and investing in their ability to learn through art and storytelling. You have genuinely made our classroom a better place to think, build, imagine, and create.","fullyFundedDate":1757558729293,"projectUrl":"project/digital-tools-for-the-artists-of-the-fut/9653477/","projectTitle":"Digital Tools for the Artists of the Future","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Newton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8177061_orig.jpg?crop=770,770,x7,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1636842208459","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8177061"},{"teacherId":8190851,"projectId":6072087,"letterContent":"As the Physical Education teacher at my school, I'm so grateful for your generosity and support. Our students are filled with energy, curiosity, and kindness, and your contribution has made such a positive difference in their daily experience. At the start of the year, it was a challenge to adjust to returning with so many restrictions—especially in a class that thrives on teamwork and physical activity. But with your help, we've been able to create a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment.\r\n\r\nYour donations have provided our students with healthier snack options to keep them energized throughout the day. Many of our students come to class hungry or haven't eaten since early morning, and these snacks help them stay focused and active. I've also been able to reinforce lessons about nutrition and healthy choices in a real, meaningful way.\r\n\r\nFor my female students, your support has been especially impactful. Many young girls are hesitant to fully participate in physical activities because they worry about sweating or feeling uncomfortable. By offering hygiene products and sanitary teen packages, they now feel more confident and cared for. These small gestures have made a huge difference in helping all students—especially girls—feel included, respected, and empowered to participate.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, our gym has become more than just a place to exercise—it's a space where students learn teamwork, empathy, and self-care. This year began with uncertainty but has grown into a positive, supportive, and inspiring experience for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1651343568851,"projectUrl":"project/caring-hands/6072087/","projectTitle":"Caring Hands","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sampson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8190851_orig.jpg?crop=1319,1320,x0,y224&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759340459536","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wpm-sampson"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59326","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":730,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":56,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":69.5,"schoolId":59326,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Westpine Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Westpine Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/broward-county-public-schools/westpine-middle-school/59326"}
