My students are in middle school, but brand new to English. They really benefitted from the phonemic awareness activities. They enjoyed touching each sound on the little cards from the centers. They also liked the group centers. It made them more willing to do the work.\r\n\r\nWhen they were able to hear the sounds in the English language, they were able to learn to read. By the end of the year, they were reading at the end of a 1st grade level. If you have ever learned a new language, you know that is wonderful progress! \r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my student the tools they needed to learn English. Thank you for funding kindergarten and first grade centers even though my students are in middle school. You gave them what they needed for foundational skills in reading.
