The binders have quickly become an important part of our daily routine. Each student now uses their binder as a personal science portfolio where they keep their notes, seatwork, and lab worksheets from day to day. Having everything in one place has helped students stay organized, keep track of their learning, and avoid losing important work. It has made transitions smoother and allowed students to take more ownership of their materials.\r\n\r\nOne especially meaningful moment was when students added the name inserts to their binders and signed an agreement to take care of them. We talked about how these binders would be used not just by them, but by future batches of students who will also learn science in this classroom. Seeing students proudly place their names on the inserts and carefully add their first pieces of work was a powerful moment. It showed both excitement and a growing sense of responsibility, as they understood they were becoming stewards of shared classroom resources.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, there was genuine excitement and gratitude. They understood that these were not just supplies, but tools that would support their learning now and in the years to come. The binders will continue to be filled throughout the rest of the school year, while the calculators and colored pencils are already being used regularly during lessons and activities. These resources will continue to benefit many future students, and we are deeply thankful for your generosity in making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1762265320289,"projectUrl":"project/binders-colored-pencil-and-calculators/9691128/","projectTitle":"Binders, Colored Pencil, and Calculators for Science Middle School","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Manda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9815409_orig.jpg?crop=1779,1779,x0,y142&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757209225993","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9815409"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57496","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":516,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":58.3,"schoolId":57496,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eisenhower Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eisenhower Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/liberal-unified-school-district-480/west-middle-school/57496"}
