The math manipulatives you provided have brought excitement, hands-on learning, and confidence to every student.\r\n\r\nWithout these manipulatives, I struggled to find meaningful hands on math centers throughout the year. Now, with a variety of manipulatives, 10 frame pop-its and more, math has become fun, active, and meaningful. Students are building towers to match numbers, creating patterns, and exploring addition and subtraction by joining and separating objects.\r\n\r\nIt has been fun to see how these manipulatives have encouraged teamwork and communication. You can hear students talking through problems and helping each other find solutions — \"I need one more to make five!\" It's the sound of growth and confidence.\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, I'm deeply grateful for the support you've given. Your generosity doesn't just supply materials — it builds confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Every cube stacked, bear counted, and shape sorted is a moment of growth that you made possible. Because of you, my students see themselves as mathematicians, problem solvers, and creative thinkers.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in public education and for supporting teachers like me. Thank you for giving my kindergartners the tools to explore, question, and understand their world. Your kindness is making a real difference — one little learner at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1751226848679,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-for-math/9217876/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning for Math!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Willard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8744203_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744165893841","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8744203"},{"teacherId":3526259,"projectId":9215993,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the additional math materials! These materials have allowed kiddos to engage in math activities independently and with their peers. The items I requested meet a variety of learner needs and each child can use the materials to push themselves or meet them at their current level of math abilities.\r\nThe connect four games were a HIT! I would have four groups of partners at the rug each day after math battling it out. It was fun to sit back and notice if a kiddo had four in a row and did not notice and which kiddos were keen on diagonals and their partner plays. Lots of strategy to learn in this activity and it was cute to see their little brains at work. Mrs. R even got it on the fun and had 'battles' with kid after kid. It was always a class cheer when a kiddo could beat me! \r\nI LOVE the tactile place value cards. I had kiddos matching them well into the hundreds! And quickly, too! Place value is huge in all grades and we start small in K but to see some of my students math 325 to 3 blocks, 2 sticks and 5 ones was remarkable.\r\nAll of these items will be used and loved for years to come.
