The moment my 3rd graders saw the bean bag chairs, they ran towards them, but quickly remembered the rule: you must have a book in hand to sit! Suddenly, students who were usually hesitant readers were grabbing books just for the chance to curl up in the bean bags. It has now become a calm, comfortable space where students can concentrate, relax, and enjoy reading in a meaningful way. Your gift didn't just add furniture, it sparked motivation, joy, and comfort.\r\n\r\nIn addition to our cozy corner, your funding also provided each student with a wooden car kit for our upcoming unit on forces. We haven't begun building yet, but the excitement is already building! When we begin learning about force, friction, and gravity, students will get to experiment hands-on and test how to make their cars go faster. I can't wait to see their creativity and problem-solving in action. We also received a laminator, which has been a game changer for preserving anchor charts and classroom tools so they can be used all year long.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom is not only more inviting, but it's more engaging, durable, and inspiring. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on my students' daily learning experiences, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1756686328620,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corner-chairs-and-cars-for-science/9616372/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corner Chairs and Cars for Science","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10184891_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755493614264","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10184891"},{"teacherId":7641655,"projectId":8696131,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your generous donations! Our classroom library is now most students' favorite place in the classroom. There is so much enthusiasm around the space and the books. What used to be a messy shelf that students didn't really pay attention to has transformed into a useful space with rich stories that eager and reluctant readers alike are enjoying. \r\n\r\nI knew having an inviting space with books that were new, exciting, and shared diverse stories would increase interest in reading, but I didn't realize how much this new library would build community in our class. Students work together to keep the library and the books organized and well taken care of, and they read together and share books they're excited about. Many students saw how nicely our library was coming together and decided to donate books from their homes, too! \r\n\r\nBuilding a love of literature and reading for my students has always been a goal of mine. Thanks to your generosity, there are books and a place in our classroom that not only will motivate students to read and help them understand how much fun reading can be, but also shows them how useful libraries can be. Most importantly, it serves as a place that students can build connections to texts and with each other that center around literature and reading. Thank you so much.","fullyFundedDate":1726158876021,"projectUrl":"project/diverse-books-for-a-classroom-library-th/8696131/","projectTitle":"Diverse Books for a Classroom Library That Reflects Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Mx.
