Incorporating novel studies into our curriculum allows for students to work on each of these skills using material that is high interest to them. We have been patiently waiting to begin our unit on \"The Wild Robot.\" We will be starting this come spring. \r\n\r\nWhen we work closely with a novel, I break down the book into chapter sections to study different skills related to those select chapters. For this novel study, we will also be incorporating art, which several of my students thoroughly enjoy and do not get a specific art class in our district. \r\n\r\nMost of my students do not always enjoy reading, but have truly looked forward to our unit on \"The Wild Robot.\" I am excited to see how their excitement continues throughout the book.
