Our new Chromebook charging station has already made such a difference in our day. Before this project was funded, I always had at least a handful of students who couldn't participate in activities because their Chromebook died halfway through a lesson. Now, my students come in each morning and plug in their devices like it's second nature. They feel prepared, responsible, and proud of handling something that feels \"big kid.\" It has cut down so much stress — for them and for me — and it has allowed learning to continue without the constant scramble for outlets and cables.\r\n\r\n What surprised me most is how excited they are about something that seems so simple to adults. They love that it gives them ownership of their learning. One of my students even told me, \"Now I don't feel like I'm behind everyone else,\" because he can keep working without worry. Another said, \"This looks like a real classroom now,\" which spoke volumes about how important structure and routine are to them. To them, this isn't just a piece of furniture — it feels like a step toward being trusted and capable.\r\n\r\n I also want you to know that your gift has impacted confidence just as much as organization. I have a student who used to hesitate to join online activities because his Chromebook was always losing charge. He is now one of the first students ready to log in, and he even reminds others to plug theirs in before they leave. A simple change in access created a big change in participation, and that's because of you.\r\n\r\n Thank you for believing in my students — not just their learning, but their sense of responsibility and belonging. Your kindness has had a real and visible impact in our classroom every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1757502198526,"projectUrl":"project/charged-up-for-learning/9616333/","projectTitle":"Charged Up for Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10184890_orig.png?crop=1544,1545,x0,y25&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755458310338","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10184890"},{"teacherId":9426179,"projectId":9051353,"letterContent":"When our math manipulatives arrived, my students' eyes lit up! They immediately began exploring the colorful blocks and tiles, excited to \"play\" with math in a whole new way.\r\n\r\nOne of the first activities we did was using fraction tiles. A student who usually struggles with fractions suddenly exclaimed, \"Now I get it—it's like a puzzle!\" That moment captured exactly why these materials matter: they make abstract concepts click.\r\n\r\nWe're now using the manipulatives daily for place value, multiplication arrays, and geometry. Next, my students will be modeling multi-step word problems, helping them not only solve but explain their thinking with confidence.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, math has become hands-on, fun, and accessible for every learner in our class.
