The bristle blocks have helped my students create vehicles, houses, and learn how to connect blocks of different shapes. The mix-and-match dinosaurs and monsters have helped my students embrace their imagination and creativity to create their own vision. The number rockets have helped my students engage with our number of the week lessons and review games. The 'pet vet' has allowed my students to pretend play as a vet and take care of not only the dog it came with, but our other stuffed animals in the classroom. This has fostered and grown their empathy for animals and others. The ocean play figures will contribute to our upcoming May curriculum as it is the Ocean unit. My students love their new sensory learning opportunities. From exploring different textural environments, such as sand, beads, and rocks and pebbles, to discovering different habitats and ecosystems from the time of the dinosaurs to a tropical island and the atmosphere above us in space, my students have been given the opportunity to enrich their learning and play thanks to you. In addition, my students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in imaginative play by becoming a baker and an ice cream maker. They love rolling dough and pressing out cookie shapes to share with their teachers and peers. They also love making hot fudge sundaes and topping them off with different desserts. Further, the little toy animals have helped add more play and learning through exploration at our big sensory table. For the winter, we created a land of snow in our table. With your generosity, we have been able to include winter animals for the students to play with. It has given them the opportunity to explore our current season and environment, while developing both an understanding of and empathy towards the animals around us. Your contribution to my classroom has been impactful and wonderful, and felt by all of us.
