During small-group and center rotations, students use the letter builders and CVC word games to stretch, segment, and blend sounds, building confidence as early readers. I have watched reluctant readers light up as they successfully form and read their first words. The tactile experience of touching, moving, and rearranging letters has strengthened their phonemic awareness in a way that paper and pencil alone never could.\r\n\r\nOur STEM and fine-motor activities have also flourished thanks to the Magnetic Tiles, Interlocking Gears, and Crystal Climbers. Students work together to design towers, build moving machines, and solve problems through trial and error. These materials encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking while strengthening important motor skills. Each day, students are eager to explore, experiment, and share their creations with classmates. These tools have not only made learning more fun, but have also deepened understanding through hands-on discovery.\r\n\r\nI truly cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. My students absolutely love using these materials, and their excitement for learning shines through each time they are in use.","fullyFundedDate":1760634484033,"projectUrl":"project/crystal-creators/9438743/","projectTitle":"Crystal Creators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kovach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9632398_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761220617265","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9632398"},{"teacherId":1050065,"projectId":9647548,"letterContent":"Your generosity is helping my students have various additional opportunities to learn to read. Because not all students learn the same way, some students require different modes to learn. The students that I work with, are most of the time, the bottom 5% of the class and struggle to learn the traditional way. The supplies that you have helped to provide are just the tools that these students need to help hone into their learning style. \r\n\r\nI can't tell you how excited that they were to use some of the manipulatives that I was able to purchase through your donations. These manipulatives could have been made, instead of purchased, but in being able to purchase them, I've been able to get them into their hands sooner and the understanding that has come from it is immense. The confidence that these tools help to build and the smiles that they have when they feel success is overwhelming.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your support and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1759444044688,"projectUrl":"project/explore-to-read/9647548/","projectTitle":"Explore to Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Benke","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1050065_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1537804208156","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsbenke"},{"teacherId":875252,"projectId":9787257,"letterContent":"The addition of an iPad to our new sound system has greatly improved the efficiency and quality of our school's audio management. With the iPad's intuitive controls, staff can easily adjust volume levels, switch inputs, and fine-tune audio settings from anywhere in the room. This mobility allows teachers and event coordinators to respond quickly to feedback issues, ensuring that assemblies, performances, and daily announcements run smoothly without interruptions.\r\n\r\nThe iPad has also simplified training and operation. Instead of relying on complex physical sound boards, staff and student helpers can use a clean, user-friendly interface that makes managing the system more accessible. This has reduced setup time for events and increased overall reliability. As a result, our school is able to deliver clearer sound, better support student activities, and create a more professional atmosphere for all programs and community gatherings.","fullyFundedDate":1759669125140,"projectUrl":"project/remote-capability-for-our-new-sound-syst/9787257/","projectTitle":"Remote Capability for our New Sound System","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Falvo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-falvo"},{"teacherId":9632398,"projectId":9438972,"letterContent":"Our students have been using the Lakeshore Light Table Manipulative Center to explore early math, science, and literacy concepts in an engaging, hands-on way. One of our favorite classroom projects so far has been a color-mixing and pattern recognition activity. Students used translucent shapes and letters to create patterns and spell simple sight words, all while observing how the colors changed when overlapped. It was amazing to watch them collaborate, ask questions, and make discoveries together—it turned into a cross-curricular activity that touched on art, science, and language development all at once.\r\n\r\nWhen the light table first arrived, the students were immediately drawn to it—it was like a magnet in the room! Their eyes lit up (just like the table!) and they couldn't wait to explore. Many had never seen anything like it before, and the sense of wonder it sparked was truly special. Students who are usually more reserved became actively involved, and it has become a center where creativity and curiosity thrive.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to incorporate the light table into our upcoming unit on life cycles. Students will use X-rays and transparent models of plant and animal development stages to better understand biology in a visual and tactile way. We're also planning to integrate storytelling and sequencing activities using transparent story pieces. Thanks to our donors, this resource has become a meaningful and versatile tool that supports a wide range of learning styles in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757423435138,"projectUrl":"project/bright-minds-bright-lights-hands-on-le/9438972/","projectTitle":"Bright Minds, Bright Lights: Hands-On Learning With a Light Table","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kovach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9632398_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761220617265","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9632398"},{"teacherId":5719748,"projectId":8351510,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation! Through your generosity, I was able to purchase a new set of headphones for each student in my classroom. These headphones are used in a variety of ways throughout the school day.
