Your support is making an incredible impact, not only on our students but on the future of education itself. As educators, we are often inspired by the potential in our students, but it is the kindness and support of people like you that allow us to bring that potential to life in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contribution, we have been able to enrich the learning environment for our ninth graders in ways that were previously out of reach. The classroom is now equipped with that enable us to offer a more engaging and comprehensive experience for each student. The impact of these resources is immeasurable.\r\n\r\nOne of the most important aspects of English is learning to think critically, communicate effectively, and connect ideas from literature to real-world.\r\n\r\nYour support has also helped us in our mission to foster a classroom environment that celebrates creativity and critical thinking. We've been able to host writing workshops, peer review sessions, and student-led projects that allow our students to express themselves in ways that are both personal and academic. These opportunities provide the kind of hands-on learning that encourages our students to take ownership of their education, which is a powerful experience at this formative stage of their academic journeys.\r\n\r\nBut beyond the tangible resources, what your donation truly represents is a belief in the potential of young minds. As teachers, we are tasked with guiding students through complex content and preparing them for a world that is constantly changing. Your support allows us to do this with the best possible tools, giving us the freedom to teach in a way that is both dynamic and responsive to the needs of our students.\r\n\r\nEvery day, I witness the growth of our students—not only in their writing and reading skills but in their confidence and sense of agency as learners. They are beginning to see that their voices matter, and that their ability to articulate their thoughts and ideas will serve them throughout their lives. This is the ultimate gift, and it is one that would not be possible without the kind of generosity you have shown.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire classroom and the many students whose lives you are positively impacting, I thank you once again. Your support is a testament to the power of community, and we are so grateful to have you as a partner in our educational mission.","fullyFundedDate":1723468060542,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-classroom-necessities/8559761/","projectTitle":"Social/ Emotional Classroom Necessities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sampson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9169921_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753264685522","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9169921"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_21941","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1161,"numTeachers":70,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":70,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":57.1,"schoolId":21941,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Watertown High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Watertown High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/watertown-city-school-district/watertown-high-school/21941"}
