The most exciting item for them has been the swing. Students who are anxious or having a hard time regulating their emotions sit and swing while using a fidget. This helps them focus on their breathing and start to talk about what is going on.\r\n\r\nThe snacks and fidgets would be the second favorites! My students are always asking for snacks so having many to choose from on hand has been helpful. The sand tray and stacking blocks are a great tool for students who need more sensory items.\r\n\r\nOverall, the donations have been incredibly helpful to promoting a positive and calming environment. I am thankful to all those that helped make this a reality.","fullyFundedDate":1734881417114,"projectUrl":"project/counseling-office-essentials-for-growing/8933476/","projectTitle":"Counseling Office Essentials for Growing Mental Health Concerns","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Suiter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9831816"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30375","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":521,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":29,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":63.8,"schoolId":30375,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Washington Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Washington Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/rock-island-milan-sch-dist-41/washington-junior-high-school/30375"}
