Thank you!! \r\n\r\nI was given the opportunity to move classrooms this summer after teaching for 26 years in the same space. I knew right away that I wanted to design a new classroom library that would provide easy access to books for students, as well as develop an easy system for books to be returned. The book browser carts were the perfect solution to accomplish this task.\r\n\r\nEach bin contains a bookend that is labeled with the type of book found inside the bin. Each book is labeled with a sticker to match the image on the bookend. Students will have minimal difficulty finding, and returning, books that are of interest to them. I am very excited to model and practice using our amazing classroom library with students in the weeks and months ahead.","fullyFundedDate":1746502368274,"projectUrl":"project/book-browsing-for-beginners/9166828/","projectTitle":"Book Browsing for Beginners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. KUHLOW","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp427660_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1480741321777","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/michelle-kuhlow"},{"teacherId":9795317,"projectId":8996720,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping me get supplies to students. It warms my heart being able to help students get what they need, and it wouldn't be possible without your support. Right after the package arrived there were students who were coming in from recess and saying how cold they were and they didn't have hats or gloves and we were able to give out hats and gloves and they were so cute when they got them and said thank you right away. I shared the winter gear with our student services team so that they could help me get the hats and gloves to kids that needed them most.\r\n I also shared the petroleum jelly packets with other teachers at the school. Everyone has been so grateful that we can help kids with their dry lips without sending them to the nurse (which results in them missing instructional time). We've given away so many packets to students and it's helped with not having kids upset and uncomfortable with sore lips. \r\n Lastly, we have been able to hand out the lotions to kids who had dry skin and didn't have access to lotion all the time. It's funny how something as small as lotion can make a kid smile so big. \r\n I can't thank you enough for supporting the students here at Washington!","fullyFundedDate":1734460528157,"projectUrl":"project/winter-is-here/8996720/","projectTitle":"Winter is Here!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gamboeck","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9795317_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728173674154","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9795317"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38450","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":284,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":46,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":74.7,"schoolId":38450,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Washington Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Washington Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/whitewater-unified-school-district/washington-elementary-school/38450"}
