My kindergartners were able to choose a book of their choice to start their journey on becoming an independent reader. \r\n These books became favorites since the words were decodable and built students' confidence. They were so excited that they could read their books with little to no assistance. \r\n I like to have the students use them during their independent reading time and during small group instruction.
