The students are excited to sit on their letter of the alphabet. The students kept saying how they thought it was nice for someone to give us this rug. With being with small children they spend a lot of time on the rug for whole group. Having a nice clean big space helps them focus. The students can visually see where they should be at. \r\nI have tried to get a nice clean rug each year. My old rug was big but worn out. So although they would clean it each summer it really didn't help much for its appearance. \r\n\r\nThanks you so much for your generosity. I can't tell you how much it has changed my classroom already. It also looks so nice with the theme of my room.","fullyFundedDate":1742823951117,"projectUrl":"project/calming-environment-for-my-students/9057721/","projectTitle":"Calming Environment for my Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Graham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9638346"},{"teacherId":9391711,"projectId":8077597,"letterContent":"Receiving the supplies from DonorsChoose has had a significant impact on my Kindergarten students' ability to learn engineering through play. They are frequently seen creating and building with the tools they received, deepening their understanding through hands-on exploration. Just last week, a group of students collaborated to build a bridge using magnetic tiles and wooden planks—they were so excited to test its strength by driving toy cars across it!\r\n\r\nThese materials have sparked creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving in ways that traditional instruction cannot. The books are leveled off for my students and they are able to find the books they need to read and put in their homework bags. This has been such a wonderful addition to my classroom. We really appreciate this because we use book bins every day in first grade. The students can get the books at each level to read. The students are tested throughout the year to find which books they are able to read on their own.
