Every item has been used a lot with so much joy. The bookshelf is now a classroom focal point, and the books have become classroom favorites.\r\n The bookshelf has become a center of enjoyment in our reading/ calming area. The students gravitate towards the area now. This new bookshelf, gives them easy access to choose a book to enjoy, as well as, allows them easy access to put away their books when they are done with them. The students love that it is at their level, and holds all their favorite books. \r\nThe books that were donated with this project have not only become favorites, they have provided learning experiences at the same time. The First Manners Board book set, is used regularly to teach the kids about manners, but also to keep instilling manners. At the start of math, we like to enjoy the book \"How do Dinosaurs Count to Ten?\" Board book. It is a class favorite and is a great transition into our math lessons. During morning meeting each day we go over how we are feeling and discuss different emotions. The book, \"Feels: A Simple Book About Complex Emotions\" is the perfect companion to our morning meeting for lessons on emotions. The other books received, such as, the two Pete The Cat books and \"Grumpy Monkey\" board book have become a great collection for the children to pick from off our new bookshelf. At least two of the books are read daily as a class or individually. \r\nThank you again for these amazing classroom additions to our special education classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755692148047,"projectUrl":"project/special-education-reading-corner/9598291/","projectTitle":"Special Education Reading Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coltrain","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9828941"},{"teacherId":8990073,"projectId":9109541,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful for your generous donation of over $1,000 in books for our 3rd grade class. Your support has brought an incredible variety of stories into our classroom—books that reflect different cultures, experiences, and voices.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our students now have access to a rich and diverse library where every child can find a book that speaks to them. For some, it's the first time they've seen characters who look like them or stories that reflect their lives. For others, it's an exciting window into new perspectives. This representation is powerful—it builds empathy, confidence, and a genuine love for reading. The impact has been immediate. \r\nOur students are more excited than ever to read. They're exploring new genres, discussing stories with one another, and proudly sharing what they've discovered. The classroom has come alive with curiosity and joy.\r\n\r\nYour donation is more than just books. It's inspiration, learning, and a lasting gift to each child's growth and imagination. The pillows have been a great use, especially during physical therapy and relaxation time. The drum/ musical toy has brought hours of enjoyment to the children with the music and lights. We have read the books multiple times, the children love the different textures that each page has to experience. The sandpaper letters have been important in sensory and learning experiences for our reading lessons. The Clorox wipes help us maintain a clean and safe environment, especially during our hands-on science activities. The skeleton system materials have become the centerpiece of our previous unit on human anatomy, allowing students to explore the structure and function of bones tangibly. Students sketched detailed diagrams of the skeletal system, labeled key components, and connected their understanding to real-world applications. One memorable moment was when the class gathered around the skeleton model for the first time there were gasps of excitement, and students eagerly took turns pointing out and identifying different bones. These resources have enhanced learning and fostered collaboration and curiosity among my students.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, the students will use their skeleton models and diagrams to explore the connections between bones, muscles, and movement. They prepared presentations to explain how the skeletal system supports the body and protects vital organs, with some even comparing human skeletons to those of animals they have researched. These activities have sparked thoughtful conversations and inspired creativity as students explore both the scientific and artistic sides of anatomy. The new resources have truly transformed our classroom, making learning more interactive, engaging, and meaningful.","fullyFundedDate":1726660446993,"projectUrl":"project/science-explorers-driven-by-a-purpose/8609500/","projectTitle":"Science Explorers; Driven by a Purpose!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Scott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9453878_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706844874130","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9453878"},{"teacherId":9828941,"projectId":8925122,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom. Daily, the toys bring smiles to their faces. \r\nThe sensory boards are amazing. The children love to play and fidget with them at their spots during lessons and free time. Their favorites are the soft furry lion and sparkly fish. When they got them, their eyes lit up with excitement.
