Students were able to slowly build their resumes piece by piece instead of feeling overwhelmed, and that structure really helped their confidence. Because of your contribution, we were able to purchase essential cleaning supplies such as mops and Swiffer wipes that have made a meaningful difference in our daily learning environment. These items may seem simple, but they have truly transformed the way my students experience and take ownership of our classroom space.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these resources, we have incorporated them into our everyday classroom routines. Students now participate in maintaining a clean and organized environment by taking turns wiping down desks, cleaning shared spaces, and helping with light floor care. This has become more than just a task. It has turned into a system of responsibility and teamwork that students take pride in. After completing group activities or hands on projects, students often remind each other to clean up and reset the space for the next class. One moment that stood out was after a collaborative project when a group of students stayed behind without being asked to make sure everything was clean and ready. That level of ownership and accountability has been incredible to see.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, my students were genuinely excited. They immediately recognized that these materials were meant to improve their environment and support their success. Many of them expressed appreciation and even commented on how it made the classroom feel more professional and cared for. Having access to proper cleaning tools has made them feel respected and valued, and that feeling has carried over into their behavior and work ethic.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to play an important role in our classroom as we move into more collaborative and project based learning experiences. A clean and organized space allows students to focus better, think more clearly, and engage more confidently in group work. It also reinforces life skills that go far beyond the classroom. Students are learning responsibility, accountability, and the importance of taking pride in shared spaces. These are lessons they will carry with them into future academic settings, workplaces, and everyday life.\r\n\r\nWe are currently working on projects that require teamwork, creativity, and movement around the classroom. Being able to quickly and effectively clean and reset our space ensures that every class period starts fresh and ready for learning. It allows us to maximize instructional time and maintain a positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable and motivated.\r\n\r\nYour support has gone far beyond providing supplies. It has helped create a classroom culture where students respect their environment and each other. It has allowed us to build routines that promote responsibility and independence while also supporting a safe and welcoming space for learning. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and for the impact you have made on my students. My second-year aquaculture students took full ownership of assembling the Raspberry Pi systems and engineering a safe way to install the cameras underwater. They had to think through waterproofing, ventilation, and heat management — troubleshooting how to protect the equipment while preventing overheating. After measuring the space, they cut plexiglass and built a tall, mini aquarium-style housing that allows the camera to submerge while keeping the top open for airflow. Watching them problem-solve in real time was incredible.\r\n\r\nOur first-year students joined in by helping set up the tank systems, running wiring, and assisting with final assembly. We are now in the final stages of installing everything into our production tanks, and the excitement in the room is contagious. Students who once thought aquaculture was \"just raising fish\" now see how engineering, programming, and design connect directly to what we do.\r\n\r\nThis project pushed them beyond what they imagined they were capable of. They are not just observing fish anymore — they are building the tools scientists use to monitor them. Watching that ownership happen in real time was powerful.\r\n\r\nThe rolling planters changed the game for our space. We don't have grass, so being able to wheel them outside for watering and bring them back in by the windows made everything practical and manageable. Even my taller students appreciated not having to constantly bend over pots on the ground. Accessibility matters, and they noticed it immediately.\r\n\r\nThe best part? The classroom smells like rosemary and mint. Students walk in and comment on it. Those small sensory moments opened the door for conversations about healthy cooking, growing food at home, and how you don't need a backyard to make it happen. Having dedicated calculators keeps students focused on the math itself without the distractions that come with using phones.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is seeing how math directly connects to their hands-on work. Calculating how much feed a tank needs or estimating growth over time makes the numbers feel real and important. Several students who typically struggle with confidence in math have been especially engaged, because these tools allow them to check their work and participate fully without frustration.\r\n\r\nThese calculators have helped me teach math in a practical, meaningful way that mirrors how it's used in aquaculture careers and technical fields.
