The moment the boxes arrived, their eyes lit up with wonder and excitement. One student shouted, \"Is this for us?\" as we unpacked everything together. From our \"I Am Feeling\" carpet to the expressive plush baby dolls and gel-bead emotion friends, each item has become a meaningful part of our daily routine. During circle time, the children love taking turns using the feeling mirrors and wooden mix-and-match face pieces to share how they are feeling, helping even the shyest child find their voice. The fidget slug and lava tiles have become favorite self-regulation tools, especially during transitions and moments of overwhelm.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special classroom moments came during our \"Feeling and Families\" week. Using the multicultural wooden block families and the nesting fruit friends, students created small world scenes to talk about their families, practicing empathy and inclusion. We paired this with our chef costume during dramatic play, where children took turns \"cooking\" comfort foods that reminded them of home-sparking rich conversations about traditions and feelings. As we continue, our next steps include creating an \"Emotion Exploration Book,\" where students will document their feelings using drawings, new vocabulary, and photos of them with the expressive materials. Your donation did not just bring us new resources-it brought us connection, confidence, and joy. Thank you for giving us this unforgettable experience.","fullyFundedDate":1741892253958,"projectUrl":"project/helping-big-emotions/9157052/","projectTitle":"Helping Big Emotions","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rachel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9309540_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741799750446","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9309540"},{"teacherId":7715716,"projectId":9184122,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation of art material, the musical instruments have been a huge hit. Being able to rotate materials and give children something new always warms my heart. Our children have been busy using their hands to point, stack, and grasp the materials.
