The privacy folders have become a favorite tool during our writing and math times—students love having their own \"work spaces\" where they can focus and show what they know independently. The folders have helped build confidence and accountability, especially during assessments and quiet work periods. The new organizers have transformed our classroom routine, making it easier for students to find and care for their materials.\r\n\r\nThe biggest smiles, though, came when we opened our new books. My students were thrilled to explore new stories during our read aloud together, and it has completely reinvigorated our reading time.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building reading stamina and writing about what we read. With these new resources, my students have the tools and structure to learn more independently and with greater joy. The supplies are wonderful and create an engaging learning environment. \r\nWe have used the big anchor chart paper to create charts for our walls with information that we are working on for science, math, reading, and writing. The students are writing five sentences now and use the crayons to create beautiful pictures to go with their writing. Writing is always hard for first grade, but the coloring makes it better.\r\nSo thank you again for the wonderful supplies that have helped organize our classroom and made learning fun.","fullyFundedDate":1746655397448,"projectUrl":"project/fabulous-first-graders-need-fabulous-sup/9315185/","projectTitle":"Fabulous First Graders Need Fabulous Supplies 25-26","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5262711_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1563649722066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/laceyann-perez"},{"teacherId":9886142,"projectId":9109743,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has been transformed into a more engaging, hands-on learning space! The new whiteboard is now the central hub of our instruction—students love coming up to the board to solve math problems, explain their thinking, and collaborate with peers. We've also incorporated the new math games and bingo sets into our daily math centers. These games have made reviewing key skills like decimals and, fractions not only more effective but also incredibly fun for the students.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was the first time we introduced the math bingo sets. The students' eyes lit up with excitement, and what began as a simple game quickly turned into a lively, enthusiastic learning competition. They were so engaged that they asked to play again during indoor recess and MTSS! The manipulatives and supplies you helped provide—like counters, place value blocks, and dry-erase boards—are now part of our regular routine. They make abstract math concepts more concrete and accessible, especially for my visual and kinesthetic learners.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're beginning a new unit on multi-digit multiplication and division, and the manipulatives will be key in helping students grasp these more complex operations. We're also planning MTSS a fun way of learning, where students will rotate through different stations using the new resources to practice skills we've learned throughout the semester. Your contribution has not only enriched our music program but has also sparked creativity and enthusiasm among my students.\r\n\r\nWith the new instruments, students are now able to engage in hands-on learning experiences that deepen their understanding of rhythm, melody, and harmony. They are exploring different sounds and collaborating on group performances.\r\n\r\nThe moment the students first saw the instruments was truly magical. Their eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity. Many of them had never had the opportunity to play such instruments before, and the joy in the room was palpable. They immediately started experimenting with different sounds, and the classroom was filled with a vibrant symphony of discovery.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to continue integrating these instruments into our lessons, allowing students to explore their musical talents further.
