I can assure you that all items are being used daily. \r\n\r\nWhen students first saw that I was putting together the white board, they kept asking if they could use it. They even wanted to help me put it together just so they could use it immediately. Once completed, students enter the classroom excited to complete math problems. They especially like how it's double sided and can have their own space when needed.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the students enjoy having their own white board eraser for when they're working on the large board or when using a small one. \r\n\r\nHaving these supplies and the others have made my transition more smooth. I'm so thankful to have the support from the community, and I know my students appreciate it as well.","fullyFundedDate":1755753143957,"projectUrl":"project/rolling-into-learning/9607989/","projectTitle":"Rolling into Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hendrickson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6875233"},{"teacherId":491517,"projectId":8789331,"letterContent":"I would like to express my deepest gratitude for you donation of adaptive supplies and toys to our classroom. These toys and adaptive equipment have had a positive impact on my students not only socially but academically as well.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular has physical limitations that make it challenging for her to fully engage in activities with her peers. She is a sweet and determined child however prior to having access to these materials in the classroom she often observed others playing but struggled to join in as she did not have a variety of toys that were accessible to her. However, the supplies you have provided have opened up a world of possibilities for her, and it shows with the big smile she has when she sets her eyes on them. \r\n\r\nOne particular toy, is a barking puppy that my student presses the switch to activate. We have never heard her giggle so much, with her big smile, and she leans her body towards the barking puppy. She quickly learned the cause and effect of the switch as she wanted the puppy to move and bark, so she quickly learned to press the switch to turn it on. This activity allows her to manipulate and interact not only with peers but with independence as well which has boosted her confidence. She is actively engaging in play with her peers, forming connections and friendships that are essential to her social development. She is not only learning socially but these supplies have been instrumental in improving fine motor skill, eye hand coordination, and spatial awareness as will as strengthening cognitive abilities for colors, shapes, and alphabet. \r\n\r\nYour thoughtful donation has given my students the tools they need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. They have reinforced the importance of creating an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Thank you for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1728653436525,"projectUrl":"project/adaptive-play-for-all/8789331/","projectTitle":"Adaptive Play for All","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gordon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/491517"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59879","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":293,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"16.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":89.1,"schoolId":59879,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Victoria Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Victoria Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/newport-mesa-unified-school-district/victoria-elementary-school/59879"}
