The thoughtfully selected chair provides our students with a safe, comforting space where they can self-regulate, find moments of calm, and feel secure throughout their school day. This addition to our classroom has already become an essential part of our daily routine and therapeutic activities.\r\n\r\nThe generosity you've shown through this donation goes far beyond the physical gift itself. You've helped create an environment where our students can thrive, learn, and feel truly supported in their educational journey. The rocking motion is particularly beneficial for our students' sensory needs, and watching them find comfort in this space brings joy to our entire teaching team. Your understanding of our students' unique needs and your commitment to enhancing their learning environment means more than words can express.","fullyFundedDate":1739119328303,"projectUrl":"project/this-chair-rocks/9066337/","projectTitle":"This Chair Rocks!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9899712_orig.jpg?crop=1441,1441,x0,y144&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737060291517","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9899712"},{"teacherId":9266714,"projectId":8573526,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the blocks, noise-cancelling headphones, dressing boards, and sensory materials you provided for our Significant Support Needs classroom.\r\n\r\nThe students are demonstrating remarkable independence by using the noise-cancelling headphones whenever they feel overwhelmed, which has significantly improved their engagement in learning. Additionally, the blocks have allowed them to practice social and turn-taking skills during free time, fostering friendships among them.\r\n\r\nA particularly wonderful moment occurred when half of my class collaborated to build a tall tower with the blocks. They directed and listened to one another, beaming with pride when their tower stood tall.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the dressing boards have been instrumental in helping some students practice their independence in dressing. One student has even mastered hooking and zipping her coat by herself after using the boards.\r\n\r\nThese items are truly treasured by my students and will continue to aid them in building independence, daily living skills, and social skills.
