Your generosity is helping create a reading space where every student can find books that fit their interests, abilities, and goals.\r\n\r\nThis year, I transitioned from teaching high school special education to working with 4th–6th grade students. My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn, but they have a very wide range of reading levels. Some are beginning readers building confidence with simple text, while others are ready for chapter books, biographies, and adventure stories.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our classroom library now includes books that truly meet students where they are. Students can enjoy graphic novels, adventure stories, biographies, math-themed books, early readers, and high-interest series that make reading exciting and accessible.\r\n\r\nBooks like *Hatchet* give developing readers the opportunity to explore adventure and perseverance. The graphic novels help engage students who need visual supports, while books like *Louis Braille* and *Who Was Mister Rogers?* introduce inspiring people and meaningful history. Beginning readers will also benefit from accessible books that help build fluency and confidence.\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest gifts you have given our classroom is choice. Many of my students struggle to see themselves as readers because books often feel either too difficult or too young for them. Now they can choose books that match both their reading level and their age, allowing them to feel successful and proud.\r\n\r\nYour kindness is helping us build more than a classroom library—you are helping build confidence, independence, and a love of reading.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping create a joyful and inclusive reading environment.","fullyFundedDate":1769717151152,"projectUrl":"project/reading-resources-part-2/9929999/","projectTitle":"Reading Resources Part #2","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reed","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6776878_orig.jpg?crop=610,610,x567,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1572486418883","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jennifer-reed"},{"teacherId":6776878,"projectId":9929926,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and helping bring these books and reading materials to my students. Your generosity means more than words can express.\r\n\r\nThis year, I transitioned from teaching high school to a 4th–6th grade Special Education classroom, and my students have already shown me how much they love learning when they have materials that truly meet their needs. Many of my students have reading disabilities, autism, or language delays, and they all learn in different ways.\r\n\r\nThe *Dog Man* collection has already created excitement because these books are engaging, funny, and accessible. For many of my students, traditional chapter books can feel overwhelming, but graphic novels help them stay motivated, build confidence, and experience success as readers.\r\n\r\nThe reading workbooks will also help us strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, decoding, sequencing, and independent reading skills at multiple levels so every student can participate and grow.\r\n\r\nThe Dog Man pencils were an extra touch that made the students even more excited about reading and literacy activities. Small details like that help create joy and motivation in our classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students now have books that match both their interests and their learning needs.
