They have all really helped student success in the classroom! The charging port has been invaluable for helping charge the lamps I have. The sensory stickers are getting VERY good use on the desks and having a few packs has allowed me to replenish them throughout the semester. The globe string lights have really helped create a calming mood within the classroom that makes the space a good place for learning. And my plants, now repotted, are thriving!\r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping my classroom be a supportive learning space for students. My students and I have already put the mini whiteboards, markers, binders, and bins to use. The whiteboards have become an essential tool during lessons—students now solve problems in real time, share their thinking, and revise their work without fear of making mistakes. One of my favorite moments was during a recent lesson when students worked out challenging problems on their whiteboards and were able to explain their reasoning through thoughtful discussion and collaboration. When the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited and eager to use them. It has made them feel more prepared and motivated to participate.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to support our current units by allowing students to practice skills, receive immediate feedback, and stay organized throughout longer projects. The binders and bins are helping students take ownership of their work, while the whiteboards encourage active engagement every single day. Your generosity has made our classroom a more confident, organized, and collaborative learning environment, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1758899275739,"projectUrl":"project/school-supply-essentials/9482547/","projectTitle":"School Supply Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simkhayeva","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9749263"},{"teacherId":9732802,"projectId":8743816,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for contributing to my SEL project last school year. The materials that you provided made an impact on my students, their ability to access our SEL curriculum and their learning. My students lovingly referred to the markers you bought as us \"the good markers\" and sought these out throughout the year not just in advisory but also for their other projects. It is without a doubt that these supplies made advisory feel a little bit more special to my students. When it came time to decompress, there were easy ways for them to access materials that felt unique and not like the same materials they have been using over and over. They did not know how to play mancala at the beginning of the year. By the time the year was over, this was requested as a game to bring to field day. Next year, I hope to buy a few more sets so that we can play more than one game at once. The multiple packs of UNO were a hit. This is a game students love and it was nice to have fresh sets at the beginning of the year that they could open and play with. The most commented items from my project were the coloring books and the markers. Our students love coloring, but because they are in high school, sometimes it makes more sense to provide something a little bit more mature than a normal print-out from google. The bound coloring books provided a way for students to de-stress. Some askes to take the books home with them at the end of the year. Because I had enough for a class set, I had no problem letting students take their books home with them for the summer. These materials came in handy throughout the school year. Because we mostly utilized the supplies during advisory, I often pulled them out when I was conferencing with students about their grades. As I would be focusing on one student and their grades, other students were able to have their pick of materials and what they wanted to focus on in a very \"low stakes\" access way. I am already looking at materials for next year and I will be purchasing those markers (and perhaps a second) set again. We used them over and over. They only started to die out towards the very end of the year. While we used these materials throughout the year, I did try to take phots of student participation and work at various points of the year. I have provided three photos where we used the materials. The first, is a common sight in our advisory where we created posters and coloring for the classroom. The second photo is from our school-wide door decorating contest. This was entirely students led, using the materials provided. The third photo is from field day, where we took the supplies outside of the classroom and used them outdoors. Thank you again for helping make our advisory class a little bit more unique this school year and a place that students wanted to be.","fullyFundedDate":1725816427564,"projectUrl":"project/advisory-20242025-sel/8743816/","projectTitle":"Advisory 2024/2025 - SEL","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Akerley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9732802"},{"teacherId":9749263,"projectId":8905366,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom.
