You were gracious enough to donate flat legos that students could use for printmaking. \r\n With these legos the students were able to design a printing plate that they later inked using brayers and actual colored ink. They were introduced to the printing process and the results were so amazing. The materials can now be used over and over again to help even more students in our school. \r\n Included with this letter are pictures of some of the prints that were made. The students were able to create unique pieces of artwork that we will all treasure for years to come. My students are loving having the books in bins! Organizing an elementary school library with books in bins makes the space far more user-friendly and supports students' reading development in meaningful ways. Bins allow books to be displayed with covers facing forward and organized into clear, easy-to-understand categories, helping young readers browse independently and choose books that interest them. This accessibility is especially helpful for early readers or students who struggle with traditional shelves filled with tightly packed spines. A bin-based system makes the library feel welcoming rather than overwhelming, encourages students to handle books confidently, and promotes essential early literacy skills. It also fosters independence, since students can easily return books to the correct place, and increases overall engagement by making it simple for children to discover appealing titles. By creating a child-centered, visually inviting library environment, bins help students feel more connected to reading and more motivated to explore books on their own.","fullyFundedDate":1755701895294,"projectUrl":"project/please-help-make-our-school-library-more/9268051/","projectTitle":"Please Help Make Our School Library More User Friendly!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ernst","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9489587"},{"teacherId":9489587,"projectId":9228621,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, adding popular titles to our library has had a transformative impact on our students.\r\n\r\nWith access to books they're genuinely excited to read, we've seen a significant increase in independent reading, improved literacy skills, and more students talking about books with their peers. Having fresh materials at their fingertips has boosted their confidence, encouraged more participation, and allowed them to take pride in their work. \r\n\r\nBeyond basic supplies, the seat covers you funded have been a fantastic addition to our classroom environment. These covers not only help students keep their belongings neatly stored, but they also save valuable learning time since students no longer have to search for materials or worry about losing items. All of the materials have been a huge hit with all of the students. The two materials that they love the most are the \"comfy chairs\" and the playdough! Every morning, I have to randomly select three students to use the chairs for the day. The students won't move to the whole group rug area until I do so! They are proud to sit in the special seat for the day. The best part is that the chairs can recline so that they have the perfect fit for their body. \r\n\r\nThe other classroom favorite is the playdough. The playdough is perfect for the cold days in Buffalo, where we can't go outside for recess. The playdough also works for those kids who just need a break throughout the day.
