A lot of my students are so excited for these small little treats. My students have to earn these treats by winning games, good behavior, and 100s on assignments. We use them for multiple other things throughout each day. We have already went through a bag of the candy!\r\nMy students were excited to see my filling our candy drawers. They hoped they could earn a treat so they could search through the drawers and see what is inside. My students mention their favorites of the candy each day that they pick a treat, so I know they are loving this!\r\nMy next steps are to encourage students to continue this behavior and hard work always! I will always give them treats, because I know they love treats but I do want them to find some inner motivation for this year as well. Thank you for the treats that my students received. They are loving the new squishies, fidgets, and drawing boards. We use them for rewards when receiving 100's on tests, winning educational games, or shopping in the classroom store for great behavior.\r\nMy students were so excited when I was opening the prizes. They couldn't help but try to look what was inside, so we opened them together and looked what was in them all. I explained at that time what they had to do to get the prizes. We are down to our last fidget person and they are all going to try to get receive it as a prizes.\r\nI am working on them to find inner motivation, as well as getting prizes. I requested these two energy boxes for this unit, and I am so thankful we received them. Today as I was reading the lesson, I went and grabbed the boxes. The students were full of questions of what we were going to do. I explained these energy kits were going to be different hands on examples of how energy works and we would test them. My students were so excited. I however, didn't get any pictures of the laughter, team work, students answering questions, and giving feedback. But it was a room of fun today learning Science this way. The students all took turns and they answered questions quicker than our usual book/video lessons.\r\nI hope I can find more ways to make Science as engaging as it was testing out different cars on the ramps, knocking down the dominos, making wind, and light. It was a good learning day for Science, and it is so much easier for my students to learning this way. The energy kits will be recommended and shared to other colleagues if they choose to allow their students to try the activities.","fullyFundedDate":1743192859803,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-science/9190871/","projectTitle":"Hands on Science","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blue","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8561669_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660870720377","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8561669"},{"teacherId":8561669,"projectId":9217360,"letterContent":"It might seem like a laminator is not needed in an elementary classroom, but it is a lifesaver! This laminator and paper cutter will be used for all projects or posters we create in the classroom. I love to incorporate art with our class doors and bulletin boards, as monthly boards/doors they create excite them. I use the laminator to laminate the materials so when others walk around our projects they don't get ruined. It also makes it pretty for the parents. \r\nWe just received our materials, so we are working on our first fall bulletin board to get laminated this and next week to hang up. The students are excited for this bulletin and will be more excited to know that after fall is over they get to take their work home to parents. It will be used for so much more valuable projects for parents throughout school. \r\nThe best part of the laminator is that when I create games for the students, I can laminate them as well. These make the games last for a long time, which the students love. I created uno cards last week that can now get laminated as well. The students will be excited that I will be open to create more as they will also longer due to all the paper some games do take to create. A laminator might be one of my favorite donations yet, and I am sure the students will learn to appreciate it just as much.","fullyFundedDate":1746545217138,"projectUrl":"project/laminating-our-room/9217360/","projectTitle":"Laminating Our Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blue","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8561669_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660870720377","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8561669"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_48219","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":605,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":100,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":28.6,"schoolId":48219,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Turtle Mountain Community Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Turtle Mountain Community Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-dakota/turtle-mountain-community-schools/turtle-mountain-community-elementary-school/48219"}
