The new organizational tools have helped create a more structured, efficient, and welcoming learning environment for students. Materials are now easier to locate, transitions between activities are smoother, and students are spending more time focused on learning instead of searching for supplies. During our ELA station rotations, students were able to move confidently between activities because everything they needed was clearly organized and accessible.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, they were excited and immediately noticed the difference in our classroom environment. Many students commented on how much cleaner and more organized the room felt. The presentation clicker has also helped lessons flow more smoothly and has kept students engaged during reading and vocabulary instruction. Students have shown more independence and responsibility because they now know where classroom materials belong and how to access them during activities.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these resources will support reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and writing projects in ELA. The organizational systems will continue helping us manage literacy stations, small-group instruction, and classroom materials effectively. Having consistent access to these basic supplies removes barriers that can prevent students from fully participating in lessons and assignments.\r\n\r\nThe copy paper allows me to provide students with guided notes, practice activities, assessments, and hands-on learning materials that support different learning styles. Students are able to follow along during instruction and complete meaningful work without worrying about limited resources.\r\n\r\nThe tabletop organizers have helped create a more structured and efficient classroom environment. Students can quickly access the materials they need, which reduces distractions, saves instructional time, and encourages responsibility and independence. The organized setup also helps classroom transitions run more smoothly.\r\n\r\nThe pencils and notebook paper have been especially helpful because they ensure every student has the materials needed to write, take notes, complete assignments, and fully participate in class activities. These supplies also allowed my students to thoughtfully write thank-you notes to our DonorsChoose donors, helping them express gratitude and understand the importance of community support in education.\r\n\r\nOverall, these resources have improved classroom organization, increased student participation, and created a more positive learning environment where students feel supported, valued, and ready to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1778032469822,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-success-basic-supplies-for-my/10143638/","projectTitle":"Tools for Success: Basic Supplies for My Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ryles","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10443488"},{"teacherId":10443536,"projectId":10123519,"letterContent":"The new resources have already made a meaningful difference in how my students engage with their learning. We recently used the materials during a small-group classroom project focused on goal setting, organization, and academic reflection. Students were able to physically interact with the resources instead of only discussing concepts, which helped them stay focused and take ownership of their work in a more structured and intentional way. This hands-on approach allowed students to better understand expectations and stay engaged throughout the lesson, especially during independent and small-group work times where focus can sometimes be a challenge.\n\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were immediate and very positive. Many of them showed excitement and curiosity, asking questions about how the resources would be used and when they could start working with them. Several students who are typically more reserved or hesitant to participate became more willing to engage simply because the materials made the lesson feel more interactive and accessible. There was a noticeable shift in classroom energy, with increased motivation, participation, and confidence across all groups. Students took pride in having new tools to support their learning, and it created a stronger sense of responsibility for their work.\n\nBecause of your support, I’ve been able to shift more instruction into targeted small-group and individualized learning opportunities. This has allowed students to receive more focused support while still working toward the same academic goals as their peers. Our next steps will build on this momentum by continuing to use the resources during structured learning rotations. Students will set weekly academic and behavioral goals, track their progress, and reflect on what strategies are working for them. They will also revise their goals as needed, which helps reinforce perseverance and self-awareness. This ongoing cycle of goal setting, reflection, and adjustment is helping students build independence, strengthen study habits, and develop greater confidence in their ability to succeed academically.","fullyFundedDate":1776962360610,"projectUrl":"project/from-struggling-to-thriving-ela-tools-t/10123519/","projectTitle":"From Struggling to Thriving: ELA Tools That Make a Difference","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Townsend","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10443536_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778183525599","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10443536"},{"teacherId":10443488,"projectId":10123406,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of \"Basic Needs, Bright Futures.\" Because of your kindness, my students have received hygiene products, snacks, and iPads—items that are truly making a difference in their daily lives. Many of my students do not always have access to these basic necessities, and having them readily available at school has helped boost their confidence, comfort, and ability to focus on learning. Your support is meeting real needs and showing our students that they are cared for and valued.\r\nThe addition of iPads in our classroom has been equally transformative. Technology is helping my students engage with lessons in more interactive and meaningful ways. They are able to access educational apps, practice skills at their own pace, and receive immediate feedback, which strengthens their understanding and builds independence. Many students are especially excited about using the iPads for reading and creative projects, where they can explore, research, and express their ideas in ways that go beyond traditional methods.\r\nI have seen several students, including those who were previously less engaged, truly come alive with this new technology. They are more motivated, confident, and eager to participate in lessons. Simple tasks that many people take for granted, like storing food, preparing snacks, organizing meals, making healthy choices that are meaningful milestones for my students.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we now have a safe, reliable refrigerator right in our classroom. These small comforts help them stay focused, energized, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nEven more importantly, the refrigerator allows us to practice real-world skills every day.
