The new bean bag chair and paper cutter have already made a noticeable impact in our learning environment. The bean bag chair has found its home in our \"Oasis\" — a calm, welcoming space where students can take a moment to recharge, reflect, or read quietly during study blocks. It has quickly become a favorite spot for students who need a brief mental break before diving back into their IB coursework. The paper cutter has been equally valuable, helping us prepare materials for interactive classroom projects and student showcases with precision and ease. Recently, we used it to create visual displays for our IB Learner Profile wall, allowing students to cut and design their own reflection cards that highlight their growth in each attribute.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the bean bag chair, their excitement was immediate — it was quickly dubbed \"the best seat in the house.\" Many were eager to try it out and were genuinely appreciative of having a comfortable, stress-free corner designed just for them. These resources have made the classroom feel more student-centered and supportive. As our next step, students will continue using the \"Oasis\" space during self-reflection and mindfulness sessions while preparing for their upcoming assessments and IB projects. The trophies are a special highlight—we'll be using them to celebrate the incredible achievement of completing the IB Diploma Programme and Career-Related Programme, giving students a tangible reminder of their hard work and perseverance. The locks and books are now at the heart of our new escape room activities, which we use to make learning engaging and interactive. Just last week, our seniors participated in a \"Mission Possible: Thriving in IB\" breakout game, where they solved puzzles about academic integrity and IB requirements, sparking laughter, teamwork, and some friendly competition.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement. Many couldn't wait to try the escape room, and others proudly showed off their new tumblers as a badge of honor for being part of our IB family. These resources have not only boosted school spirit but have also created meaningful opportunities for hands-on learning and celebration. Next, our students will continue to use the escape room tools as they review for assessments and prepare for Extended Essay and Reflective Project milestones.
