Having high-quality boards leveled the playing field, allowing their data and creativity to take center stage.\r\n\r\nReal-World Data Collection\r\nWith the soil pH meters, infrared thermometers, and water pH meters, the \"experimentation\" part of our project title became a reality. My students aren't just reading about variables in a textbook; they are out in the field, gathering real-time data and analyzing the world around them like true researchers.\r\n\r\nEnhanced Instruction\r\nThe new speaker and microphone system has transformed our daily routine. Not only does it ensure every student can hear instructions clearly during complex labs, but it has also empowered my students to find their voices during presentations and school programs, boosting their confidence significantly.\r\n\r\nCreativity & Hygiene\r\nLego Sets: These have become a favorite for hands-on engineering challenges, allowing students to build prototypes and visualize abstract concepts.\r\n\r\nEssential Supplies: It may seem small, but having a steady supply of paper towels, Kleenex, and Clorox wipes has created a safe, clean, and dignified environment where students can focus on learning rather than worrying about germs or spills.\r\n\r\n\"Your investment did more than just buy supplies; it sent a clear message to my students that their education matters and that their curiosity is worth supporting.\"\r\n\r\nThank you for being the fuel behind our \"Driven Experimentation.\" We are so grateful for your partnership in education!","fullyFundedDate":1767367351905,"projectUrl":"project/driven-experimentation/9976821/","projectTitle":"Driven Experimentation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santiago","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9850891_orig.jpg?crop=1284,1284,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735612459262","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9850891"},{"teacherId":10376625,"projectId":9947773,"letterContent":"Thank You so much for donating to our learning!\r\n\r\nWhen I reached out for funding to purchase headphones for my students, I made a promise: to give every learner a fair chance to show what they know. Thanks to your generosity, I've kept that promise. \r\n\r\nWith our headphones, my students can now hear assessments read aloud. This has helped especially those who struggle with reading. They can focus on understanding the material instead of getting stuck on the words. Their test scores show what they actually know. I see the difference every day: students participate more, raise their hands, and engage in class discussions.\r\n\r\nBeyond assessments, the headphones opened new ways for students to express themselves. We launched podcast projects this year. Students who rarely volunteer to read aloud are now recording themselves discussing primary sources and historical events. \r\n\r\nOne student who had given up on writing discovered she could explain complex ideas when speaking into a microphone. Another group created a podcast about immigrant perspectives in early twentieth century America. The headphones helped students find their voice.\r\n\r\nWhat moves me most are the individual changes. I have a student who came to my class convinced he was bad at learning. Dyslexia made reading difficult, but in his first week with headphones, he completed a full assessment without giving up. His confidence completely changed. Then there's another student who is an English language learner. With audio support, she stayed in the same classroom discussions as everyone else and her test scores improved significantly. Your investment bought more than equipment. It bought dignity and hope for students who deserved it.","fullyFundedDate":1767539103938,"projectUrl":"project/unlock-learning-headphones-for-struggli/9947773/","projectTitle":"Unlock Learning: Headphones for Struggling Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Greyeyes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10376625_orig.jpg?crop=678,678,x217,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764966718560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10376625"},{"teacherId":9840817,"projectId":10043394,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of maps, a globe, atlases, and geography books to our classroom. As we unpacked the maps and globe, students immediately gathered around asking questions like, \"Where are we on the map?\" and \"How far away is India?\" Several students were eager to spin the globe and locate places they had only heard about before. It quickly became a moment of curiosity and discovery, where students could physically see and connect with the world beyond our community. \r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping students on the Navajo Nation connect their learning to the larger world and I am immensely grateful for what you have offered them. While you might use technology at home for tracking your fitness or streaming sports events, in our school, it serves as a powerful tool that enhances performance analysis, promotes strategic understanding, and prioritizes student well-being.\r\n\r\nWhat's truly exciting for our student-athletes about this new technology is the immediate and tangible feedback it provides, coupled with the ability to visualize their progress. They're no longer just told what to do; they can see the impact of their efforts and understand the \"why\" behind their training. The ability to instantly review their performance, compare it to benchmarks, or even see a virtual overlay of proper technique has ignited a new level of enthusiasm and self-awareness. It's the difference between a coach verbally explaining a complex drill and a student being able to watch a slow-motion replay of their execution, identifying precisely where they need to adjust. The personalized insights and the empowering feeling of taking ownership of their development make training sessions more engaging and results more visible.","fullyFundedDate":1739558288272,"projectUrl":"project/sports-powered-giving/8951821/","projectTitle":"Sports Powered Giving!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8650074_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661359935699","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8650074"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43003","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":247,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":97,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":74.2,"schoolId":43003,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Tuba City Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Tuba City Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/tuba-city-unified-school-district-15/tuba-city-junior-high-school/43003"}
