The addition of this new sensory swing is a favorite for many of the students. \r\n\r\nThis high-quality swing provides deep pressure, rhythmic vestibular input, and calming movement, which are essential tools for many students with sensory processing needs. The addition of the Toniebox has transformed our listening and literacy stations into engaging, independent learning experiences. My students are now able to listen to stories, sing songs, and explore language in a hands-on, interactive way. It has helped build their listening comprehension, vocabulary, and love for reading—skills that are foundational at this early stage. I've noticed an increase in their focus and excitement during story time, and they've even started retelling stories to one another, showing how much they're absorbing.\r\nBecause of the materials provided, I was able to create a more dynamic and student-centered classroom. The wobble chair attachments and foam stools have transformed our learning environment into a more flexible, inclusive, and responsive space that better meets the diverse sensory and attention needs of my students. These seating options help promote active engagement and reduce distractions, allowing my students to focus on learning rather than struggling to stay still in traditional chairs.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, remaining seated and attentive during lessons can be a daily challenge due to sensory processing needs or difficulties with self-regulation. The wobble chair attachments allow for subtle movement, which helps students release excess energy in a non-disruptive way. This movement helps improve their ability to concentrate, stay on task, and participate more actively in classroom activities. The foam stools have also been a hit—many students choose them during independent work or small group time. Their soft texture and stability offer a calming, safe place to sit while still providing the flexibility to move slightly, which can be incredibly grounding for students who need extra sensory input.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has elevated the tone and function of our classroom. Students are more comfortable, confident, and engaged in their learning because they feel that their individual needs are being recognized and supported. It's also empowered me as an educator to offer choices that reflect the best practices in special education, helping create a space where all students can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1738451505951,"projectUrl":"project/cool-seating-for-some-even-cooler-kids/9088973/","projectTitle":"Cool Seating for Some Even Cooler Kids!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Heberlie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9912450"},{"teacherId":4444768,"projectId":8742817,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations to our Reading project.
