It was hard for them to keep track of who took which photo, and some students let the others take all of their photos before taking one of their, leaving the class progress all over the place. It worked, but it was chaos, and many students weren't able to get hands on.\r\nThese new cameras have made it so that more students can take photos at the same time. They are learning to use aperture mode and change the shutter speed, so these DSLR cameras were perfect for letting them explore all of those different settings. \r\nAs they progressed in their skills, we started printing photos, and because we had such high quality cameras, we were able to shoot in RAW and therefore print high quality photos, then mount them and show them off! Thank you for your generous donation that made this all possible.","fullyFundedDate":1741929652188,"projectUrl":"project/dslr-cameras-for-photography-students/8959475/","projectTitle":"DSLR Cameras for Photography Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Weitzeil","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9844985"},{"teacherId":9164109,"projectId":9039621,"letterContent":"When I first opened these books on the science of reading, I was curious but unsure. I was not a big reader myself, but as I turned the pages, I discovered informations that connected directly to the students in my classroom. I feel like I am not just reading. I am connecting dots between research and real children who are eager, and sometimes hesitant, to grow as readers.\r\n\r\nIt has not been perfect. It is slow, sometimes messy work. There are days when progress looks like just one new word sounded out or one sentence read without a pause. But I know every bit of effort will be worth it because I see the changes taking root. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who used to avoid reading a passage try her absolute best during our session. The look on her face when she finished, full of pride, will stay with me forever.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped me grow as a teacher so I can better meet the needs of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1741930327450,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-literacy/9039621/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Saguinsin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9164109_orig.jpg?crop=3000,3000,x0,y470&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718243092031","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9164109"},{"teacherId":9164109,"projectId":8453083,"letterContent":"Since the arrival of the mobile classroom cart, our learning environment has transformed in ways that are both tangible and inspiring. The cart has become an integral part of our daily classroom routines, and the students eagerly anticipate each moment it rolls into action.\r\n\r\nOne memorable day was when we first unveiled the cart. The excitement on my students' faces was priceless—they couldn't contain their curiosity as they explored the manipulatives. The materials instantly sparked a flurry of hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nThese tools have allowed me to deliver more targeted, individualized interventions. For example, during small group reading sessions, students who needed extra support could dive into engaging, multisensory material directly from the cart while I worked one-on-one with them. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students are more engaged, confident, and excited to learn than ever before.
