Because of your contributions, our classroom has been transformed with brand-new speakers, microphones, a guitar, mallets, and a variety of modern band accessories. These resources have already made a tremendous impact on both teaching and learning, helping students experience music in new and exciting ways, even in just the first week of school.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful moments this year came the day my students first saw the new equipment. Their eyes lit up immediately. For many of my students, music class is their first opportunity to experience instruments and technology like this. The speakers brought our lessons to life instantly. Instead of straining to hear examples of professional performances and performances of their own from last year, my students could now experience high-quality sound that filled the room, making them feel like they were in the middle of a real concert. When I handed out the new microphones, the response was even more enthusiastic. Students who were usually shy about speaking or singing suddenly leaned into the opportunity, eager to try their voices with clear, amplified sound. I will never forget one student, who had previously been quiet and hesitant in music, stepping up to the microphone and proudly singing a call-and-response welcome song in front of the class. The look on their face said everything: they felt like a real musician.\r\n\r\nYour generosity hasn't just provided instruments—it has and will continue to create opportunities for confidence, teamwork, and creativity. Students are learning that music is not only about reading notes on a page, but also about listening to each other, experimenting with sound, and finding their own voices. Many of my students come from backgrounds where access to private lessons or instruments at home is not possible. Thanks to your support, they now have a chance to explore music in a way that feels authentic and empowering.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of the students at Tope Elementary, thank you once again for investing in our music program. Your generosity is not only filling our classroom with sound—it is filling our students with joy, creativity, and confidence. Every day, I see the difference you have made, and I cannot wait to see where these musical journeys take us this year!","fullyFundedDate":1752586553197,"projectUrl":"project/modern-band-materials/9307127/","projectTitle":"Modern Band Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bohling","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9239951"},{"teacherId":9249454,"projectId":8574480,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your donation. \r\nThe initial impact of your donation was that our First LEGO League was able to compete with a chargeable robot with no fear that it would lose its charge during competition. The team was able to focus on the building of the robot and coding needed to accomplish the missions. Inclusion and teamwork are two of the core values instilled in LEGO League. The team did not need to deal with conflicts that come with equipment that is faulty. Thank you!\r\nIn addition to LEGO League my students will use this LEGO hub to learn more about building robots and coding robots second semester. The plan is to meet before school and discover ways to use this hub in creating efficient, thought provoking robots.
