When our new games arrived, there was an immediate buzz of excitement in the classroom. Students were eager to open the boxes, examine the pieces, and jump right in. However, they quickly realized that many of these games required more than just luck—they needed strategy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to succeed.\r\n\r\nAt first, some of the games felt overwhelming. The rulebooks were long, and the strategies weren't always obvious. But instead of giving up, my students took on the challenge together. They read the instructions, asked questions, and experimented with different approaches. It was inspiring to watch them navigate the learning process—sometimes getting frustrated, but always coming back to try again.\r\n\r\nOne of the best moments was when they successfully \"beat\" a few of the more difficult games. The sense of pride and accomplishment in the room was incredible! They high-fived each other, cheered, and immediately started talking about how they had won. What stood out the most was how they reflected on their teamwork. I overheard students saying things like, \"We wouldn't have won if we hadn't worked together,\" and \"That was so much fun once we figured it out!\"\r\n\r\nI'm grateful to have donors who care about my students.
