The moment my students saw the DNA Necklace Kit, Snap Circuits, spring scales, solar power kits, beakers, pipettes, and graduated cylinders, their faces lit up with excitement. Many of them had never used real lab tools before, and they immediately began exploring, asking questions, and imagining the experiments they could do. Their curiosity filled the room, and the hands-on opportunities you provided truly transformed our learning environment.\r\n\r\nWe have already used the DNA Necklace Kit to introduce genetics in a memorable way. Students extracted their own DNA and wore their necklaces proudly, telling me it was the \"coolest science activity ever.\" The Snap Circuits and solar-powered motor kits have helped us investigate electricity and renewable energy through real engineering tasks. With the plastics kit, beakers, cylinders, and pipettes, students are now performing measurement and physical properties labs with accuracy and confidence. These tools allow them to work like real scientists and deepen their understanding through practice rather than just reading.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our next steps include a series of engineering challenges using the solar kits and a set of measurement-based labs using the new scales and cylinders. My students are highly motivated and eager to learn because they feel supported and valued. Your donation didn't just provide materials, it opened doors to experiences that spark curiosity and build a stronger love for science. Thank you for believing in our classroom and making such a meaningful impact on my students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1757555082160,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-the-future-science-learning-throug/9501598/","projectTitle":"Fuel the Future: Science Learning Through Hands-On Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miranda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10094228_orig.jpg?crop=963,963,x6,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757613279246","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10094228"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_100245","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":485,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":100,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":11.1,"schoolId":100245,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Tiospa Zina Tribal School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Tiospa Zina Tribal School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-dakota/-bureau-of-indian-affairs-/tiospa-zina-tribal-school/100245"}
