Before this, we talked about the food groups using small visuals, worksheets or videos, so having something this interactive was totally new for them.\r\n\r\nThe parachute has already made a difference in our health lessons. Mixing movement with learning has helped students stay focused and actually remember the MyPlate sections, build balanced meals, and understand the correct food groups in regards to different foods. We've used it for sorting games, teamwork activities, and simple challenges that connect physical activity with nutrition in a fun way. The kids love the parachute! This is something that keeps even the more hesitant learners involved.\r\n\r\nOverall, the MyPlate parachute has made our health lessons feel more active, hands-on, and enjoyable. We don't use it every day, but when it comes out, the students get excited. It's been great seeing them build a better understanding of healthy food choices while having fun and working together.","fullyFundedDate":1755751573140,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-eating-habits-a-fun-way-to-lear/9534094/","projectTitle":"Healthy Eating Habits! Before this, we didn't have anything like these, so catching activities were a lot harder for some of our kids.\r\n\r\nThese balls have already made a big difference in adapted PE. The slower movement, softer feel, and easy to track designs help students who need a little extra support. They've been perfect for working on basic catching, tossing, tracking the ball, and building confidence with simple movement skills. The students are way more willing to give it a try when the equipment feels safe and easier to control. We've used them for individual practice, partner practice, small-group games, and warm-ups, and the kids have been so engaged.\r\n\r\nOverall, the fleece balls and tail balls have made catching activities much more accessible and fun. It's been great watching them feel successful with skills that used to feel tough, and it's opened up more opportunities for everyone to participate.","fullyFundedDate":1762266292416,"projectUrl":"project/adapted-physical-education-throwing-and/9526275/","projectTitle":"Adapted Physical Education Throwing and Catching Equipment! We could stack, but it never felt like the \"real thing,\" and now the kids finally get to use the actual equipment.\r\n\r\nThese timers and mats have already changed the way we do speed stacking. Instead of just practicing the cups, the students can see their times, try to beat their personal best, and really challenge themselves. The mats make it feel official, which the kids love. We've been able to do little races, partner challenges, and fun competitions, stuff we couldn't really do before without the proper equipment.\r\n\r\nOverall, the timers and mats have made speed stacking way more exciting and motivating. The kids feel like pros when they use them, and they get so into trying to improve their times. It's been really fun watching them cheer each other on and get better every time they try.","fullyFundedDate":1755751265899,"projectUrl":"project/speed-stacking-practice-makes-improveme/9524175/","projectTitle":"Speed Stacking! When they first saw them, the kids were so curious. They immediately started asking, \"What are those?\" \"What are they for?\" \"How do we use them?\" After explaining a little bit about them they were excited to try them out. Before this, we didn't have anything to clearly mark out real courts on the gym floor, so games like pickleball or volleyball were pretty confusing for younger kids. Now that we can set up actual boundaries and lines, the students understand where they're supposed to stand and move. It's made the games way less overwhelming and a lot more fun for them.\r\n\r\nHaving these markers has totally changed what I can teach. Without court lines, it was really hard to introduce sports that depend on positions or boundaries, especially for younger students who need clear visuals. Cones can be used, but it's really not the same. Now we can set up mini courts, run small modified games, teach movement patterns, and help students learn the rules in a hands-on way. The markers have opened up so many more options for skill practice and game play that we just couldn't do before.\r\n\r\nOverall, these court markers have made PE feel more organized, more engaging, and much easier for elementary students to understand. The kids love having \"real courts\" to play on, and it's been awesome to watch them learn and move with more confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1751637663720,"projectUrl":"project/physical-education-equipment-learning-w/9403014/","projectTitle":"Physical Education Equipment! It was fun to tell them, \"Yes let's give them a try, these are for us to use in PE!\"\r\n\r\nWe've already used them for a bunch of activities. The paddles are super lightweight, so the kids feel comfortable swinging them, and the foam balls are soft enough that no one gets nervous about getting hit. We've used them for striking practice, partner games, stations, and even some silly challenges the students came up with on their own. It's been really nice having equipment that works for everyone, no matter their skill level. These are also perfect for using with students in APE, recently one of my students in APE has made huge improvements with his striking skills while using these paddles. \r\n\r\nThese paddles and balls have opened up so many new PE activities we couldn't really do before. The students keep asking when we're using them again, and it's clear they've already made a huge impact on our class.","fullyFundedDate":1755751834147,"projectUrl":"project/pe-paddle-activities-improving-students/9402592/","projectTitle":"Pe Paddle Activities! A bunch of them went right over to check them out, pushing on them and saying things like, \"Wow, these are nice!\" Several students were asking about where they came from, how we got them, and when we could use them. You could tell they were excited!\r\n\r\nWe've already put them to good use. They've been great for stretching, warm-ups, partner activities, and anything that has students sitting, kneeling, or utilizing the ground. The mats are sturdy and comfortable, and the bigger size gives everyone enough room to move safely. They've also worked really well for fitness stations and obstacle course setups. The kids are definitely happier not having to do activities straight on the gym floor, and it's opened up more possibilities for what we can do in class. They aren't only used flat on the ground, they are used standing up as well. The mats that we had in the gym before these were probably as old as the school. Most of them didn't have any more foam in them and were torn up. They were so worn out. I really only used them to create areas for the students, but never as a spot that was comfortable and safe because they weren't comfortable and they didn't really help with safety. It is so exciting to actually have good quality mats that serve their purpose! \r\n\r\nThe best part is how much more willing the students are to try new things now. The mats make everything feel safer, so they jump in without worrying about falling or getting hurt. Our PE time feels more comfortable, more active, and a lot more fun. These black mats might seem simple, but they've already made a big difference in how we use our gym every day.","fullyFundedDate":1754256662066,"projectUrl":"project/comfortable-safe-versatile-physical-e/9520288/","projectTitle":"Comfortable, Safe, Versatile! Their reactions were absolutely priceless! My favorite moment was when one student shouted, \"WOAH!! Is that yours?\" and I got to say, \"It's all of ours!\" Right away, they were pointing, smiling, and asking all about it. Since our classroom is the gym, I usually tape a piece of paper to the wall and use that as my makeshift whiteboard... so having a real one feels like a total game changer!\r\n\r\nSo far, we've used it for so many fun activities. Of course, I write our normal class info on it, but it has already become so much more than that. We've used it for games, group brainstorming, challenges, and as a giant space to show visual aids. It even doubles as our video screen for lessons and fun brain breaks. The kids love coming up to write answers, solve problems, or share their ideas. I originally pictured using it mostly for Health, but it has turned out to be incredibly helpful for Physical Education too. We truly use this whiteboard every single day!\r\n\r\nThe best part is how much more interactive and exciting our lessons feel now. The whiteboard gets everyone involved, keeps their attention, and makes learning feel like a team effort. It has completely changed the energy in our classroom and made our lessons so much more meaningful now that we finally have a real place to display information and use during activities.
