We were able to fulfill our donation goals faster than I would have ever thought possible. Through your generosity, we were able to get a personal sized white board for each student to use at their desks, a stem couch where each piece is a different shape and a white board desk. The classroom was also able to get two bean bags. \r\n\r\nThe students are able to use their personal white boards during math lessons as they follow along and complete problems at their desks. This is a huge help because we do not always have paper and this alleviates the need for that. This tool is also used by the students to be creative and draw on them in their free time, which they love to do!\r\n\r\nThe students come in each morning and go immediately to the small couch. They use this as a comfort space. They are allowed to complete their reading and center work in this area. This area allowed for students to have a different space in the classroom besides there desk to sit and complete work which for a special education classroom is a big part to give options. The bean bags are used for the same, to give them a different feeling or environment. \r\n\r\nThe white board table has been the biggest hit. This has allowed us to progress through mathematics as we are able to separate into center work in our leveled groups. The groups are now able to visit the table as a station to complete that day's lesson as they use the table to write or draw out different strategies to solve the problem as they are able to draw bog circles or write out different arrays. They have also loved to this for STEM time as they draw and design different games to play. \r\n\r\nAs each piece of the donation started to come in, I could see the enjoyment in the students' eyes.
