When selecting the books for this project, I considered many factors. One factor was the location of our school, which is in rural Montana. Living in rural Montana comes with a lot of amazing benefits, but it can also feel isolating to some students at times. They can feel disconnected from the rest of the world or misunderstood if they are different from some of their peers. I selected books that I felt would speak to the unique personalities and interests of my students. I also selected books that would intentionally link to texts that we explore as part of our curriculum. My hope was that students would be intrigued by something that they heard during our normal course of study and then I could highlight a new book in the classroom that would allow them to explore that topic in more detail. I was also intentional about choosing books to reach students across many academic levels. I want students to feel that regardless of the reading level that they are at or their level of comprehension, there are high quality, interesting books for them to access. I want my students to know that there's value in every type of literature and it is accessible to everyone. \r\nI have already seen an impact from the new books I was able to select thanks to your donations. My students were excited to see the books arrive, and I placed out a different selection of books every couple weeks to entice students to read something new. I am grateful for the ability to bring these books into the classroom and I want to thank you again for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1727377119695,"projectUrl":"project/literary-genre-taste-test/8808044/","projectTitle":"Literary Genre Taste Test","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Snead","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9769831_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727092352520","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9769831"},{"teacherId":9747678,"projectId":8777517,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of our Novels Study classroom.
