This book has captivated their imaginations while building critical literacy skills in a meaningful and engaging way.\r\n\r\nWith their own copies in hand, students are actively participating in daily read-alouds and small group discussions. We've explored themes such as empathy, adaptation, and resilience, which naturally lead to rich conversations about character development and problem-solving. Students are learning how to cite evidence from the text, infer character motivations, and make predictions—key components of third-grade reading comprehension.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is now a collaborative and joyful experience. Students eagerly follow along, annotate their books, and share their thoughts during class discussions. It's been especially heartwarming to see reluctant readers excited to read ahead or volunteer to read aloud. One student who previously struggled with reading engagement now asks if we can have extra time with The Wild Robot every day—this book has truly sparked a love for reading!\r\n\r\nYour donation gave us more than just books—it gave us a shared story that unites our class and builds a foundation for lifelong learning. With your help our class was able to purchase the scribble dots books and activities to help us learn about feelings and emotions. The class was so excited to see all the new books. We took time to read and talk about each book and the feelings that go with it. They love identifying their feelings with the color spots. For example, \"I'm feeling peaceful and green today\".\r\n\r\nI am finding that much of the social emotional materials that are provided are not engaging or easy for our young TK students to understand. The scribble dots series uses easy to understand language mixed with songs and color that our easily relatable for our students.
