I'm excited to share how these mats have positively impacted our kids.\r\n\r\nThe children have embraced yoga before school with enthusiasm! Students are improving flexibility and strength by practicing better focus and mindfulness while learning to use the breath to connect to their bodies and feel less anxious. One memorable moment was when we first introduced the mats: the room filled with excited chatter and smiles as the students eagerly unrolled their mats and lined up-it was so fun! Their immediate reaction was curiosity and fun, setting a wonderful tone for the day.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I hope to expand this initiative by having more consistency and maybe doing mini sessions at the junior high during lunch and the High school after school. Scheduling has been a little tricky because of my current schedule and some health concerns. I know we'll get scheduling figured out because when we practice the kids love it. Students are learning postures, and figuring out how to move their bodies in creating their own mini flows. As time goes on I hope to include deeper explorations into mindfulness practices and more breathing exercises. Yoga reinforces physical benefits and also helps students develop habits that support mental and emotional well-being. I hope to have a community/family night and do a school-wide practice as the weather improves. \r\n\r\nThank you once again for your support.
