The funds I received allowed me to purchase much-needed furnishings for my classroom — soft, comfortable seating that has transformed the space into a place where students genuinely want to be.\r\n\r\nThe change has been remarkable. Instead of sitting at their desks all day, my students now have the option to curl up in cozy chairs, which has made a noticeable difference in their happiness and overall engagement. The atmosphere feels more welcoming and less rigid, which has helped build a sense of community.\r\n\r\nComfort may seem like a small thing, but it creates the foundation for big things — attentive listening, deeper focus, and a willingness to take risks in learning. This investment has not only made our classroom more beautiful but has helped my students feel cared for and valued. I am so grateful for the committee's commitment to helping teachers create environments where students can truly thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1740889437181,"projectUrl":"project/ms-ms-class/9123409/","projectTitle":"Ms. M's Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Maldonado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9887493"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_132120","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":64,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":132120,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about The Willow School - Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"The Willow School - Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/orleans-parish-school-district/the-willow-school-middle-school/132120"}
