I wanted to take a moment to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous support this past school year. Your kindness and commitment made a tremendous difference in the lives of my students, and I cannot thank you enough for the impact you've had on our band program.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our high school band was able to compete for the very first time. This was a huge milestone for us, and I'm thrilled to share that they did an absolutely outstanding job. The students worked tirelessly in rehearsals, stayed after school for extra practice, and took great pride in representing their school on a competitive stage. Many of them had never experienced anything like this before, and the opportunity gave them confidence, motivation, and a sense of accomplishment that they will carry with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nOur middle school bands also had a fantastic year, tackling music that was more challenging than ever before. These students showed incredible growth, not only in their technical skills but also in their musical expression. They learned to listen to one another, to support each other through difficult passages, and to never give up when something felt too hard. It was inspiring to witness their perseverance and dedication in every rehearsal and performance.\r\n\r\nBeyond the notes and rhythms, what mattered most was the personal growth I witnessed in each student. Through band, they learned responsibility—showing up on time, remembering their instruments and music, and being prepared. They learned collaboration—how to work as a team, listen actively, and understand that every part, no matter how small, contributes to the whole. And most importantly, they learned empathy—how to encourage one another, offer help without judgment, and celebrate each other's successes.\r\n\r\nThese lessons extend far beyond the classroom and will benefit them in every aspect of their lives. And none of it would have been possible without your support. Whether it was funding for equipment, uniforms, travel expenses, or instruments, your generosity provided the resources we needed to make this year a success.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and in the value of music education. Your support did more than help us put on concerts or attend competitions—it gave my students memories they'll cherish forever, lessons that will shape their character, and the knowledge that there are people in the world who care about their growth and success.","fullyFundedDate":1727844050910,"projectUrl":"project/maximizing-musicians/8843027/","projectTitle":"Maximizing Musicians!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bartle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9354576_orig.jpg?crop=1074,1074,x101,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754419461940","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9354576"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_104943","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1207,"numTeachers":48,"percentFrplEligible":33,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":73,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"25.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":86.1,"schoolId":104943,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Carolina Leadership Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Carolina Leadership Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/north-carolina-department-of-education/the-north-carolina-leadership-academy/104943"}
