The students were so excited each day seeing all of the boxes arrive. Their favorite project that they completed with the materials was their low-rider pinata that they made for our back-to-school night. The students that came to the event as well as their younger siblings were so impressed by their work (they were probably more excited to bust it open and get some candy though!).\r\nNot only did these supplies help supplement our small art club, it has inspired the school to take art more seriously. Moving forward we are working on offering an art class for students that they can take for high school credit. Many of our students, who often struggle to stay still for extended periods, are now able to channel their energy productively while remaining actively engaged in their work.
