We use them during mealtimes to talk with one another, request needed or wanted items, play games with friends, ask for help, greet teachers and classmates throughout the school, and so much more.\r\n\r\nIn addition to supporting communication, the devices also serve as highly motivating reinforcers for positive behavior. My students are eager to work through challenges and complete tasks in order to earn time on the devices. They are both user-friendly and high-tech, offering features such as restricted access, volume control to minimize distractions, and customizable settings. These features have allowed my students to navigate the devices with independence, helping them overcome fears, transition safely, and feel excited to complete their daily work.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made a significant difference in the lives of my students and has positively impacted our classroom's daily routines, behaviors, and communication. The boys use these materials on a daily basis to complete their assignments. Thank you for your generosity!!! The new additions like the sequin wall and kinetic sand have allowed for the students to engage in sensory rich activities. These sensory activities help the students to regulate their bodies so they are ready to learn and be challenged. The cleaning supplies have done their best to keep our materials and surfaces clean and free of germs, but you can never escape that little kid cold! The Velcro has allowed me to create new PECS books and icons to help facilitate communication from my nonspeaking students.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our class. We are ending 2024 in a really great place. All the students are thriving, comfortable, being challenged, and love coming to school each day. They have everything they need and more, thanks to your help.
