I have a student who has a lot of sensory needs and the seats have provided him with additional ways to sit during work and tests. In addition, he can even take breaks on it to seek the sensory needs he has. Also, many other students enjoy the flexible seating options that I have in my room. \r\n\r\nI really appreciate the file/paper sorter as well. I hope to have time to build it this summer. If has been a busy school year and didn't have time to put it together yet. I know how much this could help me organize my papers for my students and keep my items more organized for group work too. \r\n\r\nI plan to figure out exactly how I use it next year, and each year the way I use it may change, but I know I will be able to use this for years to come. \r\nThank you again for supporting my classroom this year and for the future too! I am loving how high quality they are. All students, no matter if they have a disability or not, have enjoyed using them for some sensory output when sitting for so long.\r\n\r\nThe quality of the bands are amazing. Usually the cheaper rubberband-type bands break withing a month or two of use. These are holding up great and I suspect they will last for YEARS! The other sensory item also is by the same brand and will be good for students when taking breaks and may need some more sensory output with their arms. I'm looking forward to trying this other sensory item soon. I just haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. \r\n\r\nThanks again for donating to my project and my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1734180556453,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-tools/8881570/","projectTitle":"Sensory Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cronin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9144173"},{"teacherId":9850511,"projectId":8977392,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! We were able to get our swing and safety mats installed and implemented this week thanks to you! \r\n\r\nThe swing has been a HUGE hit! In the past two days of being up, it's already stopped a child from \"eloping\" (leaving the classroom) TWICE and has given a student still acquiring language an entirely new sentence! It's been effective as a motivator to finish work as well. Math is suddenly much less daunting when a swing is just on the other side of it. It's also helped another student to regulate themself and acquire some more language. They used their device to say \"like like like like like like like like like like like like like\" so they've definitely got that word in their vocabulary now! We've all been able to practice taking turns and waiting our turn with this swing as well, which is fantastic.\r\n\r\nEven the mats alone have been great. Crashing to the floor abruptly is now a safe regulation/break choice, which is great news for the students who enjoy that sensory input. Every aspect of this has been a hit, and I truly cannot thank you enough.","fullyFundedDate":1734839245706,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-swing-for-browns-room/8977392/","projectTitle":"Sensory Swing for Brown's Room!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9850511"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33515","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":530,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":8,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":29.2,"schoolId":33515,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Taylor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Taylor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/arlington-public-schools/taylor-elementary-school/33515"}
