I was able to buy laundry baskets for their storage and the kids have taken such pride in taking care of them. They are able to use them during our center time when they are working with their ipads. The fact that we have so many options makes fighting among them so much less. \r\n\r\nThe new lap trays have been AMAZING. I have 20 students this year and some kids don't have the best view of the board. These lap trays provide the kids the chance to come to the carpet during independent work time and work so much better. \r\n\r\nI also really love my new chair. I am able to read to the kids at the end of the day and any guest who has come into my room has had a great place to sit.","fullyFundedDate":1753101569103,"projectUrl":"project/starting-the-year-off-right/9444828/","projectTitle":"Starting the Year Off Right!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bruce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2450019_orig.jpg?crop=2160,2160,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706716013562","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jessbruce"},{"teacherId":2450019,"projectId":9134498,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations! It took a while after I got the Stream Deck to be able to use it in my classroom. It required some approval from my district for the software. Once we started using it it was AMAZING! The music cues really made all the difference in the world. Also the fact that I was able to just click a button saved SO MUCH time! \r\n\r\nOnce I got the Stream Deck I realized that I was able to add photos to the icons to indicate what sound it played. This was a total game changer. This allowed for the students to help me play the sounds if needed. We have been using these books during our reading lessons. In the past we have had to just play read alouds of these books from Youtube. I have been able to display all the books for the week on the board which has gotten the kids excited to have reading each day. \r\n\r\nWe have seen a major impact in our recent Non-Fiction unit. It has been amazing to hold the books under the doc cam so we can learn about all the different text features of Non-Fiction books. It has been great to be able to take the time to show them how to use a table of contents and a glossary. The kids were able to look at both Fiction and Non-Fiction books side by side. This has really help them to understand these more abstract concepts.","fullyFundedDate":1732046104362,"projectUrl":"project/help-give-our-students-read-aloud-books/8859370/","projectTitle":"Help Give Our Students Read Aloud Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bruce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2450019_orig.jpg?crop=2160,2160,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706716013562","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jessbruce"},{"teacherId":2450019,"projectId":8443448,"letterContent":"My heart is so full as I write this impact letter. Two years ago I went back to teaching after spending a few years home with my family. I spent my first year back just getting my feet wet. Last summer I decided to rework the reading program for Kindergarten at our school. I planned out the entire year in one summer and did not want to just show my students read alouds on Youtube each day. Your donation has given our kids the chance to hear us read physical books to them each day. \r\n\r\n All our books are stored and organized by month in a central location available to all of our kinder teachers so each week I grab all the books we need and put them on display for the kiddos in my class. My kids get so excited to be the one to grab the book for the day. I love being able to stop and have teachable moments with all of the kids.
